Steep Rock 100 The Steep Rock 100 in October 2017 (date TBD) is the first ever 100 mile trail/ultra race in Connecticut. 100K/50K distances too!

The Steep Rock 100, Connecticut's 1st ever 100 mile ultra trail race (100K/50K distances offered too), will be held October 2017 (date TBD) in the northwest portion of Connecticut less than 2 hours from NYC. Linking the three Steep Rock Association preserves (Steep Rock, Hidden Valley, and Macricostas) and a few other trail preserves, you will experience beautiful sweeping scenic views, lush fores

t trails and hillsides, babbling brooks and streams, old rail beds, rural landscapes, and of course the ever present New England fall foliage. That being said the course will not be an easy one. While there are no 2000’ climbs, there will be plenty of steep ups and downs along with sections of technical, rocky, rooty trail that this part of the country is known for. There will even be a few river crossings. You will certainly have to work for every mile of this course!
