The IN Series Counterpoint Award was presented by board president of IN Series, Janet Farrell on the final day of the festival.

Awarded to the film, Dream Baby Dream, and presented to Chris Jonas, one of the film’s directors with Jazzfest Berlin.

Directed by Shawn Fitzgerald Ahern and Emilie Leriche, ON MENDING is a profoundly moving reflection on loss, care, and the fragile beauty of human connection. Through its striking visual language and deeply felt performances, the film stood as a powerful centerpiece of this year’s festival. Awarded for its all around production of choreography, cinematography, editing, and performance, ON MENDING captured the beauty and inevitability of impermanence through a powerful expression of collective loss and healing.
