I was very grateful to be invited to Judge and Lecture in the Online Cherry Blossom Dance Festival
I found myself being constantly inspired while judging Cherry Blossom online and I have so much respect for the dancers, who during Covid, have figured out a way to keep on dancing.
With or without a partner, pre-recorded or live online in their studio, in their lounge room or even parking garages!!

A letter to our lovely dance community,

Every spring the flowers bloom. They start shy and modest, little sprouts from the ground, and finish gallant and proud like roses and sunflowers in the field! The process of flowers blossoming is just like dancing, something that everyone should have a chance to witness. It is beautiful, it is unique, and it is satisfying to see something that has waited so long to unveil itself step out of its comfort zone and share its colors with the world.

This past year has been difficult, but this is why Cherry Blossom Dance Festival was born. To bridge the gap made by unforeseen circumstances in our dance community and allow teachers, students, and every dance fan to have an opportunity to express their joy for dancing in any way, shape, and form they can.

Without your dedication, without your love, without your support, we could have not made this event happen. We are so grateful to every studio, student, viewer, and staff member who made this year's Virtual Cherry Blossom Dance Festival so special! It is something we will never forget!

Let your dancing continue to blossom into something beautiful! Until next time! Thank you!
