Last night, Spooky Action made history: it became the third most awarded theater of the year, only preceded by Arena Stage and Round House. Our new musical “Professor Woland’s Black Magic Rock Show” brought 5 awards home, tying for second most nominated production of the year with “The Inheritance” at Round House. These awards are a testament that productions of huge ambition can be born in small places, and Spooky Action is essential to the ecosystem of new work development. To reserve a ticket for our showcase of two other new musicals in development on June 13, visit our website at https://spookyaction.org/products/end-of-year-party . Photos by DJ Corey Photography.

Jeremy Allen Crawford nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actor (Musical) for his role as the demonic messenger Behemoth. It takes a special actor to pull off a snarky giant cat while playing cello, and we congratulate Jeremy on getting well-deserved recognition.
