BREAKING NEWS: After months of advocacy from EANGUS members, veterans, and partner organizations, the discharge petition for the Major Richard Star Act has officially reached the 218 signatures needed to move the legislation toward a vote on the House floor.

CALL TO ACTION: EANGUS has launched a new Call to Action asking members to contact their Congressional Delegations (CODELs) and urge their Representatives to oppose any Motion to Recess until the House holds a clean up-or-down vote on the Major Richard Star Act.

September is Su***de Prevention Month, a time to raise awareness, strengthen connections, and remind our women service members and veterans that support is always within reach. The unique experiences of military service, including trauma, transition challenges, and the lasting effects of service, can take a significant emotional toll. By recognizing the warning signs, encouraging open conversations, and connecting women veterans with appropriate resources, we can help create a community where no one has to struggle in silence. Your life matters. Your story matters. You matter.

This September, we stand together to break the stigma surrounding mental health and su***de, encourage connection, and remind every woman who served that asking for help is a sign of strength. Always remember, you are not alone. 💜

The National Guard Relief Foundation has had the privilege of helping Guard members and families through SARGE grants, interest-free loans, and other emergency financial assistance. Now, we’re looking for a few individuals who may be willing to share how that support made a difference during a challenging time.

Your story matters. It shows our resource partners how their support is helping National Guard members and families, creates real impact, and may encourage other National Guard members to seek assistance—even when asking for help feels difficult.
