National Police Week

National Police Week In 1962, President John F. This provides a unique opportunity to meet others who work in law enforcement.

Kennedy signed a proclamation which designated May 15 as Peace Officers Memorial Day and the week in which that date falls as Police Week. Currently, tens of thousands of law enforcement officers from around the world converge on Washington, DC to participate in a number of planned events which honor those that have paid the ultimate sacrifice. n May 15, sponsored by the Grand Lodge of the Fraternal Order of Police, is one in a series of events that includes the Candlelight Vigil, sponsored by the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund (NLEOMF) and seminars sponsored by Concerns of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S.) National Police Week draws in thousands of attendees who come from departments throughout the United States as well as from agencies throughout the world.

Thank you for your patience in waiting for photos from May 15th. We can’t post all of them on Facebook but both of us at the wreaths have SmugMug account where you can download the photos for free.
If you were looking at the stage to the left was where I was taking photos and to the right was Kevin. Go to the SmugMug page, find the photos you want, right click on them and you can download photos for free and without our names on them. On my page hit on menu, go to events then it’s 2022 Police Week. It’s Police Week 2022 on Kevin’s page.
