In 2014, Chace Farm Forever embarked on a "Chace Farm Forever Barn Restoration" Fund Raising Campaign to save our beloved old barn. At first we thought we could simply replace the roof, but on deeper assessment it was very clear that the barn needs some very critical structural repair. After much research and consultation with a profession Timber Wright, Engineer, and several builders, I have finally found the right person for this very important job, and he grew up on Birch Swamp Rd here in Warren. But before any work can start on the barn, 11 large trees must come down - they hover over the hay barn and stable rubbing on the roof and walls. The good part of this is that most of the trees are Locust so we can salvage the wood and use it in the barn. This work will also be done by a professional from this neighborhood. (Credits for these jobs will follow)
We fell short of our Fund Raising goals in 2014 for making all the repairs needed on the barn, but soon we will be posting some Fund Raising Events here at Chace Farm Forever. Please stay in touch to our Face Book page so you can join us for some wonderful activities for the whole family.
Thank you all for you continued support, we appreciate every bit of it!
Sincerely, Joetta Kirk
