Here's another from yesterday, July 21, 2024.
The Baystate Dixieland band with absolutely amazing musicians: Dennis Nobrega clarinet, Pat Stout -Trumpet, Frank Noonan -trombone and bass trumpet, Bill Kass -tuba, Paul Shoemaker -keyboard, Cajun Bob Wilson on percussion.
"I can’t believe you’re in love with me" a great standard and Dixieland tune performed by Louis Armstrong, Louis Prima, Frank Sinatra and countless others.
(sorry, I might’ve gone overboard in the last couple of measures and must’ve thought I was in Jackson Square, New Orleans!)

Bringing music to the community is what we are all about. That, and having fun in the process is what makes it a great group to be a part of. Share this post with your friends in the area, and even if you are not in the SouthCoast Massachusetts area, be sure to support music and art in your little corner of the world. Attend a park concert, buy a piece of local art, or lift your own voice or instruments in a community choir or band. Have a musical day, people.

Susan will MC the performers and I will get everyone "In The Mood" at the Knights of Columbus, 5 Armoury Rd, Buzzards Bay beginning at 2 P.M.

South Coast Community Band resumes rehearsals at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Buzzards Bay on Thursday, January 29, from 7:15 pm to 8:45 pm. The South Coast Community Choir will be joining the band for rehearsal on Thursday, February 12. We are looking forward to an exciting musical season.
