7:30 PM Performance Time The Wapello Pro Rodeo has been going strong ever since. Don't miss it!

Annually high school students comprised of the Wapello FFA Chapter plan, manage and make all arrangements to host the annual Pro Rodeo. This is a fundraiser for Wapello FFA providing scholarships, student development, state, and national convention registrations. They continue to work hard on bringing family-friendly entertainment to Southeast Iowa and also provide a community equestrian arena. In

1981, the Wapello FFA student chapter and their advisor, Ron Stover, took a big step to bring bucking horses and rodeo bulls to their hometown. FFA members worked hard to get it all together, even building gates in class to make the arena and then selling them to farmers for fundraising. In 2009, the FFA members and advisor, Irv Meier, held true to their motto: Step up and step out. Just as their parents and other FFA members before them, they have taken the challenge to make the show better than ever before. With only months to go, they made a major leap hiring Barnes PRCA Rodeo stock contractor and received Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) sanctioning status with the support of their community. The Wapello Pro Rodeo is a one-of-a-kind rodeo, it is the only PRCA sanctioned rodeo in the nation that is organized and managed by a youth organization; there are over 650 PRCA sanctioned rodeos in the nation each year. The Wapello FFA is proud to bring the Wapello Pro Rodeo to Southeast Iowa each summer! "When the Big Times Come to a Small Town"

Night TWO of the Wapello Pro Rodeo is HERE!

We’re back and ready for another unforgettable night of rodeo action! A little rain this morning gave the stock a fresh kick, and now the sun is shining just in time for tonight’s performance!

All activities are ON as scheduled - including Mutton Bustin’ with check-in at 5:00 PM and action starting at 5:30 PM!

If tonight is anything like last night, you won’t want to miss a second!
