What a great OFD!! We were long overdue for some fantastic weather. Thank you to all who participated in the parade and all the vendors that came and set up. A little rain in the morning but nothing like we had last year. The bands rocked the main stage till after 10 and man was that a heck of a fireworks show. Thanks to all volunteers, the Mayor, and City Council for making the event possible. A huge shout out to the ladies in city hall and the guys at public works who handle all the logistics, set up and clean up. Our public works guys come in early and stay after the crowds have gone to get main street cleaned up and back in order. Now we start planning OFD 2020!!!

This year Main St will be divided up into zones once again. Below is a map of what the layout will be. Blue Zone will be information, medical, groups (Boy Scouts, etc) and political. The 46th Annual Walton Old Fashion Day event is right around the corner. This year it will be Saturday September 7th. Your City Council, Mayor, and City Employees have been working hard to plan a great event. We are hoping for dry weather this year. Fingers crossed.

We have much of the same things on the schedule for this year as we did last year. Mobile game trailer in the evening. Fireworks and great local bands.

MC for the parade this year will be local Facebook and Viral Video legend Michael Freeman He is doing great work with his page "The Boone County Bump" and promoting local businesses and their products. He will be bringing his crazy antics to the MC job this year and will check out some of our great vendors after.
