I’ve been going through some of my old softball stuff and happened to find this old news article and it might be one of my proudest accomplishments. Any good or average hitter can pull the ball but your best hitters can hit the hard ball where it is pitched. If you think back on your season how many hits did you have to right field?

We are in the middle of Tryout season right now and while we tend to spend our time focusing on how we preformed, there is a lot more that coaches are looking for at these tryouts. Today, I couldn’t help but notice while everyone else was sitting hunched over there was one kid who was kneeling, he wasn’t hunched over, and was actively listening while the coach was talking. As a coach that shows me that he’s disciplined, respectful, and is willing to do the little things when no else is!

At Andrés Giménez camp at Gilmour Academy today and I had to stop and check out Emma Gurley’s records. Even more impressive when you realize she played baseball (yes on the boys team) instead of softball her first two years of high schools!

Bulls Baseball is proud to offer its players the opportunity to practice year round through our partnership with On Deck Training and on our home field located at T.G. Young Park in Walton Hills, Ohio. On Deck provides the team with an indoor turf surface and batting cages perfect for working on fundamentals and correcting mechanics and bad habits during the off season. Come spring, the team will spend the majority of its practice time outside on the well maintained fields of T.G. Young Park. Player families can spend their many hours at the park enjoying the beautiful playground, pavilion and restroom facilities.
