So, waaaaay back in September, Laurie MacAllister shared this bit of wonderful confluence:

"Growing up, I spent a LOT of time in Waltham, MA. My grandparents lived there. I never took a single walk with either of my parents in Nashua—we just didn’t do that. But. My grandfather Almon would take me on long walks in Waltham. 30 minutes or more to some destination, then 30 minutes or more home to his house on Galen St. Sometimes we walked to Prospect Hill. Sometimes to the store of my dreams: Moe Black’s! There were rumors that Aerosmith had a studio somewhere nearby! I kept my eyes peeled, but no luck. Sometimes we’d walk from Galen St., down Dale, Lexington, Main, and Moody.
Sometimes we would just meander for an hour. And talk.
My grandfather was my hero. Still is.
So today’s news is: I just booked a solo concert in Waltham. It’s on April 30. On Moody Street!"

Well, April 30th is THIS Thursday! And we can't be more excited than to welcome Laurie back into our beloved city! And YOU can join us!

Two-fifths of the multi-award-winning band, Ward Hayden and the Outliers prove that it's not the numbers that count, but the music. Ward Hayden has fronted his band The Outliers for nearly a decade (and longer before that as Girls, Guns, and Glory). Greg Hall has been a part of that outfit for over half of that. Here the two present a leaner, simpler arrangement that still spares not a thing in the quest for soulful, heartfelt country. Especially when their voices join together, the duo proves that it's not the numbers that count, but the music.
