SSA Sports Class Nationals

SSA Sports Class Nationals The Soaring Society of America’s Sports Class National Championship Contest Practice Days will be July 30 and 31, 2021. We have space for 36 planes/pilots.

The first Contest Day is scheduled for August 1. Already, 15 have applied, so get your registration and deposit in before the Preferential Date to reserve your spot. All rules and any rules changes can be found on the SSA website: www.SSA.org.

2021 Sports Class Nats: from the CD Wx. looks more normal. Front appears to be gone. Fog this am is normal, prob. 4000 ft and expect enough cu by noon that we will launch by noon. Still possibility of pop up storms and expect 3 hr. area task with enough room to maneuver around. posted by Leigh

2021 Sports Class Nats: Friday, Day 4 briefing: The good news we can see blue sky. Good chance for today. Soundings mostly show blue. CD thinking we'll get to 4000, perhaps 5000. Rain in the south, overnight, so CD and advisors will work to get a task to maximize the day. Potential 1st launch noon. posted by Leigh
