FENG E: Teen Uke Sensation from Taiwan
Get ready to be amazed — Feng E, the viral ukulele virtuoso from Taiwan, makes his Maine debut! After lighting up stages from Los Angeles to New York City, Feng E now brings his breathtaking talent to New England.

Feng E first stunned the world at just ten years old when his mesmerizing ukulele rendition of Tommy Emmanuel’s Classical Gas went viral. Almost overnight, the young prodigy became an international sensation—appearing twice on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and captivating millions more on Asia’s Got Talent and America’s Got Talent.

Since those early viral days, Feng E has evolved into one of the most electrifying young artists in the global ukulele scene. His dazzling performances have graced stages across Singapore, Malaysia, Japan, China, and Hawaii, earning him international awards and headline slots. His groundbreaking 2024 U.S. West Coast tour wowed audiences with show-stopping sets at the Los Angeles International Ukulele Festival, alongside national TV and radio appearances.

With nearly one million YouTube subscribers and countless millions of views, Feng E continues to push boundaries and redefine what the ukulele can do. In 2025, he headlined the Denver International Ukulele Festival and saw his band Resonance Effect capture the top prize at Taiwan’s Taoyuan Iron Rose Hot Sound Awards—their version of Idol.

Now, this teenage virtuoso returns to U.S. stages, ready to captivate audiences once again. Experience the energy, emotion, and pure joy of an artist who’s redefining a generation of music.

The Vincent Price Festival with Everyman Repertory Theatre begins this week!

First up is “Witchfinder General,” screening Friday, October 16 at 7pm at The Waldo. Michael Amico of Open House of History will give an introduction to the film. Amico also plays Vincent Price himself in the upcoming staged reading of Robin Jones’ “I Know It’s Gruesome, But Is It Art?” on Halloween at 7pm.

If you love Vincent Price, this is the performance his devotees call one of his finest. If historic true crime is your territory, this is essential viewing. If a beautifully shot nightmare is your thing, this is a must-see film with cinematography that rivals that folk horror classic “The Wicker Man.” If you believe horror can be art, “Witchfinder General” is the film cinephiles point to. And if real witch trials have ever fascinated you, this true story will stay with you long after the credits roll. Recommended for mature audiences.

The festival continues on October 25 at 2pm with “The Raven,” a comically irreverent take on Edgar Allan Poe’s classic poem of dread and one of the most beloved collaborations between Price and director Roger Corman. Mixing the zany and the macabre, the film stars horror greats Price, Boris Karloff and Peter Lorre as a trio of rival sorcerers locked in a battle of wits and magic, with Hazel Court as the poem's “Lenore” and a very young Jack Nicholson as Lorre's son. It’s campy, chaotic, and a blast for the whole family!

Just Announced!

Georgia O'Keeffe:
The Brightness of Light

SUN, NOV 15 at 2pm

With unprecedented access to O’Keeffe’s groundbreaking body of work, and voiced with poignancy and power by Claire Danes as Georgia O’Keeffe and narrated by Hugh Dancy, this film offers an in-depth, cinematic, and fresh portrait of the artist known as the “Mother of Modernism.” From her early struggles and artistic awakenings to her rise as a feminist icon and cultural force, The Brightness of Light is a journey through love, loss, and the radical independence that shaped O’Keeffe’s art and her legend. It features personal letters between O’Keeffe and Alfred Stieglitz, as well as contributions from the world’s leading experts on O’Keeffe, with the cooperation of the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum. Directed by Academy Award- and Emmy Award-winning Paul Wagner.

We're proud to present this screening on the anniversary of the day Georgia O'Keeffe was born, November 15, 1887, and we can think of no better way to honor her than gathering together on her birthday to watch her story unfold on the big screen.

Join us and Director Brett Marshall for Ghosts Never Die: The Ghost of Paul Revere Documentary Film
"As a fan, my appreciation for The Ghost of Paul Revere grew quickly. Someone suggested one song. It hooked me, so I found another. At some point, they became the majority of what I was listening to.
A decade later, my friendship with the Ghost boys grew all at once. My production company had the chance to interview the band while they were playing at a venue near our office. I was nervous to meet them, and then we talked for almost an hour on camera. What an opportunity it was to meet one of my favorite bands in person.

Within a month, they announced that they were disbanding.

While talking with Ghost’s management about what we would do with the footage we had captured, we discussed the band’s plan: one final tour, ending at Thompson’s Point for Ghostland 2022.

We didn’t know exactly what shape the project would take, but at some point, the idea surfaced that these moments were important to capture, if for no other reason than for all of us to look back in 20 years and say, “Remember when?”

From fan, to professional acquaintance, to backstage with a camera.

That tour took me to shows in Denver and Denmark, and finally to a sold-out crowd of 6,400 people who showed up to say goodbye to a Ghost.

Years passed. We interviewed the boys, their families, their friends, and the bands they had come up with. Together, those conversations allowed us to tell the story of The Ghost of Paul Revere: their childhood as friends, their growth as a band, and the difficult decision they faced between their friendship and their musical aspirations.

Now, as we look to the future, I am so proud to share a window into my friends’ lives and to truly say, “Ghosts Never Die.”"

CONTROVERSIAL JFK PORTRAIT BY JAMIE WYETH IS THE SUBJECT OF A NEW PLAY TO PREMIERE AT THE WALDO

Revealing the all too timely story behind one of Jamie Wyeth's most famous and divisive paintings, An Addition of One premieres at The Waldo Theatre this November after its sold-out workshop debut last summer. Created and performed by Shannon A Mullen, the first professional production runs six shows from November 7 to 22, 2026.

Mullen, a playwright, screenwriter, author and journalist for such outlets as NPR, The New Yorker and The Atlantic, plays both Wyeth and Kennedy in a one-woman show drawn from her own extensive research and personal conversations with Wyeth. The portrait, painted when Wyeth was twenty, was rejected by Robert Kennedy and drew thousands of angry letters but is now widely considered an iconic masterpiece.

"I knew the first time Jamie told me about this painting that there was an intimate conversation only he could have had with Jack Kennedy and vice versa, about family, fallibility, intuition, and the vital role in society of unflinching art," Mullen said. "I also knew that if I wanted to hear that conversation, I was going to have to write it."

Each performance will be followed by an onstage Q&A between Mullen and a special guest, beginning with Jamie Wyeth after the first show on Saturday, November 7. As part of the production, an exclusive collection of prints from Wyeth's rarely seen original studies for the portrait will be on view in The Waldo's gallery from November 7 to December 20.
