Representatives of the Forward Wakefield Planning Committee, the Badger State Outboard Association, and the City of Wakefield met recently to discuss plans for the 2023 American Power Boat Association National Boat Races being sponsored by Lac Vieux Desert Northern Waters Casino Resort. This National race will be the 18th time since 1980 to take place on Sunday Lake and will have Stock, Modified, and Junior Outboard boats racing to be named the 1-US boat. This year, a Marathon boat exhibition race will
also be held.
