There is just something magical about gathering around a beautifully set table as the sun begins to set over the rolling hills of the Walla Walla Valley.

Cool enough in the morning to grab your favorite sweater, warm enough by afternoon to wonder why you ever put it on. 😂

Fall in the Walla Walla Valley has a way of keeping us guessing — crisp mornings, golden afternoons, changing leaves, and that beautiful reminder that one season is gently giving way to the next.

There’s something special about the in-between. Not quite summer anymore, not quite the cold days of winter… just a little window of time to slow down, breathe it in, and enjoy the beauty right where we are.

One of our favorites at The Selah. 🤎

Sometimes it’s the simplest touches that become the sweetest memories.

A crackling fire, a basket full of marshmallows, chocolate and graham crackers, friends and family gathered close, and plenty of laughter in the evening air. There’s just something special about slowing down and enjoying the people God has placed around us.

We love the beautiful details of a special event day, but even more, we love the moments that bring people together. Those are the memories that linger long after the lights are turned off.

Here’s your Tuesday reminder: make room for the simple things, the laughter, the conversation, and the people you love. Those moments often become our favorites. 🤍

We’re excited to start sharing a few simple Monday Wedding Tips — little reminders, ideas, and things we’ve learned along the way that can help make your wedding day feel a little less stressful and a lot more meaningful.

One of Today’s tips are very simple: Have fun! It goes by so fast.

There is so much planning that leads up to a wedding day, but when the day finally comes, try to be present. Laugh, take it all in, enjoy your people, and don’t let the little things steal the joy of the moment.

The details matter, but the memories matter even more. 🤍

In a world that is hurried and chaotic, there is still a place for quiet. 🌿

A place to slow down, breathe deeply, and remember that God is near.

Selah reminds us that we do not have to move at the pace of the world around us. Sometimes the most important thing we can do is simply pause in His presence and trust Him with what we cannot control.

“Be still, and know that I am God.” — Psalm 46:10

May this Sunday bring you a little more peace, a little more stillness, and a renewed awareness of His presence.

Good morning!

We are reaching out to our friends and supporters of The Selah to ask for your help in simply getting the word out. We are so grateful for every gift you have ever given—whether through your time, resources, talents, prayers, or support. Each one has helped move the vision of The Selah forward, and we are deeply thankful.

One of the final pieces we truly need at The Selah is a golf cart. ❤️

This isn’t simply for convenience—it would help us serve people well across our property: transporting disabled veterans, assisting elderly guests to important areas during events, and helping moms with infants reach private nursing and family-care spaces.

Our pathways are now prepared throughout the property, but a golf cart has become an increasingly important missing piece.

As we enter the final quarter of the year, we are looking for someone who may have a golf cart they would be willing to donate, or for individuals who would like to contribute toward the purchase of a reliable used one.

The Selah operates under a nonprofit 501(c)(3), “Both financial and in-kind donations can be receipted through our 501(c)(3) nonprofit, as permitted by tax law.  Which could provide a benefit when you file your taxes.”

And if you aren’t able to donate, you can still help tremendously by sharing this post. Somewhere out there may be the right person, business, or organization who has exactly what we need and simply hasn’t heard about the need yet.

Every community event that we host has happened because people have gotten behind the vision of what we are desiring to do and they also want to give back to the community...

Our annual fall trek to Klicker’s with the boys. 🍁🎃🤎

There is just something about fall traditions—the pumpkins, hay bales, little adventures, lots of laughter, and making memories with the people we love most.

These are the days we know we’ll look back on and wish we could bottle up forever. So thankful for another beautiful autumn in the Walla Walla Valley and these sweet moments together. 🍂

The best part of every season is who you get to share it with. 🤎
