🐣 Tiny miracles tucked safely above the doorway at The Selah.

This morning we discovered these precious little babies all snuggled together in their carefully woven nest… pink, tiny, and completely dependent on the care of their mama. 💛

There is something so beautiful about slowing down long enough to notice the quiet wonders God places around us every single day. From the hummingbirds to the bunnies… and now these sweet new little lives. 🌿

The Selah continues to remind us:
Life grows in hidden places.
Beauty often arrives quietly.
And sometimes the most meaningful moments are the smallest ones. ✨

This morning’s guest quietly walked the paths of The Selah as if it owned the place… and honestly, around here, the wildlife usually does. 🤎

There’s something grounding about starting the day with slow steps, rustling trees, and unexpected visitors wandering through the grass. No hurry. No performance. Just creation moving at its own peaceful rhythm.

Sometimes the best reminder for the middle of the week is this:
You don’t always have to rush through life.
Sometimes you just need to walk the path set before you… one step at a time.

Can someone say locust blossoms 😱🌼

Sunday this was all cleaned off and ready for guests… and then Monday morning greeted us with THIS. 😂

Yep… joke’s on us 🤪

Our locust trees looked at the leaf blower and basically said:
“Go ahead… give us your best shot. We know you’re outnumbered.” 🌳💨

Welcome to spring at The Selah — where the blossoms are beautiful, abundant… and apparently committed to covering every square inch possible. 😅

Honestly though, there’s something kind of magical about it too. Like a surprise snowfall made of petals. ✨

Sit outside a little longer.
Hug your people a little tighter.
And remember the sacrifice behind the freedom to enjoy these moments at all. ❤️

Today we honor the brave men and women who gave everything for our country.

And meanwhile… the girls are spending the day free-ranging, snack-hunting, and acting like they own the place. 😂🌾

Today we pause to remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice purchased freedoms we often enjoy so freely — gathered around tables, surrounded by family, laughter, peace, and open skies.

As we celebrate this weekend, may we also reflect with gratitude for those who never made it home.

From our little corner of the Walla Walla Valley, we are thankful for the beauty of freedom, the blessing of community, and the courage of those who served. ❤️

Did you know hummingbirds can remember every flower they’ve visited and even how long it takes for each one to refill with nectar?

These tiny little birds are incredible reminders of the beauty and design woven throughout creation. Around The Selah, they dart through the trees, hover near the blooms, and bring so much life and wonder to quiet mornings and peaceful evenings.

Sometimes the smallest things slow us down enough to notice the world around us again. ✨

Memorial Day Weekend

This weekend carries a sacred pause.
A moment to gather with family, enjoy the beauty around us, laugh a little louder… and also remember.

Remember those who served.
Those who sacrificed.
Those whose courage gave others the opportunity to live freely, worship freely, and gather freely.

Out here, surrounded by the quiet of the countryside, the waving fields, the songs of birds, and the peace of open skies… it’s hard not to feel grateful for the freedoms we often take for granted.

Memorial Day reminds us that freedom always costs something to someone.

As we slow down this Sunday, may we hold gratitude close.
May we honor the legacy of sacrifice with lives that pursue peace, kindness, faith, and community.

🇺🇸 Memorial Day Weekend at The Selah 🇺🇸

As the long weekend begins, we are reminded that Memorial Day is more than sunshine, gatherings, and the start of summer. It is a time to pause and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. ❤️

Here at The Selah, the fields are green, the birds are singing, and the peacefulness of this place feels especially meaningful this weekend. We are grateful for the freedom to gather with family, laugh with friends, enjoy the outdoors, and create memories together — freedoms that came at a great cost.

Whether your weekend is filled with barbecues, quiet reflection, road trips, or simply slowing down for a moment of rest, we hope you take time to honor those who made it possible.

May this weekend hold both gratitude and peace. 🇺🇸🌾

These little bunnies have officially taken over the yard at The Selah, and honestly… we’re not even mad about it. Watching them bounce across the grass with their tiny white cotton-ball tails is one of those simple little moments that just makes you stop and smile. 🌿☀️

This place has a way of slowing life down long enough to notice the beauty in the little things:
the breeze in the trees,
the glow of the evening light,
and baby bunnies playing tag across the lawn. 🐰
