Thank you, Waco. You made Día de los Mu***os 2025 one of our most vibrant and unforgettable celebrations yet. From the incredible artistry of our parade participants to the families lining the streets, to every volunteer, sponsor, and community partner, your heart and spirit brought this tradition to life once again.

We are deeply grateful to be part of a community that celebrates culture, creativity, and connection with such passion. Every year, we see something new, something inspiring, and something that reminds us why this celebration matters.

One week until Waco comes together to celebrate life through food, music, and tradition.

Join us Saturday, November 1st for the Día de los Mu***os Waco Parade & Festival. The parade begins at 4 p.m. and the festival starts at 5 p.m. at Indian Spring Park. Bring your family, your friends, and your spirit of remembrance as we honor loved ones and celebrate the richness of our culture together.

When you take that first bite of a taco, you’re stepping into an agreement with the chef, one built on flavor, tradition, and pure enjoyment. No matter your protein, veggie, or cheese preference, there’s a taco for everyone.

That’s why we’re so excited to partner with to celebrate a community favorite, the taco. From today until Día de los Mu***os next week, the Taco Passport is your guide to some of Waco’s best taco spots.

Registration has officially closed, and our hearts are full! Thank you to every individual, family, school, and organization who signed up to be part of this year’s Día de los Mu***os Waco Parade. The community’s enthusiasm has been incredible, and we’re so grateful for the outpouring of love, creativity, and culture that will fill our streets this year.

If you missed the registration deadline but still want to participate, you can still join the Novios walking section — a beautiful way to honor loved ones and celebrate together on foot.

We’re now preparing to make sure everything flows smoothly for a vibrant, joyful, and unforgettable celebration of life and remembrance. See you at the parade!

Calaveras and Catrinas are two of the most recognized symbols of Día de los Mu***os. Both remind us that death is not the end but part of life’s beautiful cycle.

The Catrina began as an etching by José Guadalupe Posada over a century ago. She was created as a reminder that, no matter who we are, we all share the same fate. Later, Diego Rivera painted her into his famous mural Dream of a Sunday Afternoon in the Alameda, turning her into a national icon of Mexican identity and pride.

Today, Calaveras and Catrinas invite us to remember our loved ones with color, creativity, and joy. At Día de los Mu***os Waco, we honor that spirit by filling the streets with music, art, and celebration.

Las Calaveras y Catrinas son dos de los símbolos más reconocidos del Día de los Mu***os. Nos recuerdan que la muerte no es el final, sino parte del hermoso ciclo de la vida.

La Catrina nació como un grabado de José Guadalupe Posada hace más de un siglo. Fue creada para recordarnos que, sin importar quiénes seamos, todos compartimos el mismo destino. Más tarde, Diego Rivera la pintó en su mural Sueño de una tarde dominical en la Alameda, convirtiéndola en un ícono nacional de identidad y orgullo mexicano.

The Ofrenda is at the heart of Día de los Mu***os, a space of love, memory, and connection where we celebrate the lives of those who came before us. Each photo, flower, and candle tells a story that lives on through us.

We invite you to share your tributes at one of our partner locations: the Mayborn Museum’s Ofrenda exhibit or Rocío’s Traveling Ofrenda, which continues to honor loved ones across Waco.

Join us Saturday, November 1st, as we celebrate together at the Día de los Mu***os Waco Parade & Festival. The parade begins at 4 p.m., and the festival starts at 5 p.m. at Indian Spring Park. Bring your family, your memories, and your spirit of celebration.
