Illinois Extension is looking for an Assistant Program Leader, 4-H Positive Youth Development, to join our statewide Illinois 4-H team.
We’re looking for someone with a passion for empowering all youth to thrive in a changing world. This person will provide strategic leadership for 4-H programming delivered across every county in Illinois and will supervise 4-H program staff in the State 4-H Office.
They will mentor and support an interdisciplinary team using progressive, innovative, and effective leadership and management skills. They will build and maintain relationships and partnerships by using strong communication skills and will provide leadership in developing goals and meeting statewide priorities, identifying and responding to emerging opportunities to expand and strengthen positive youth development outcomes for youth in all 102 counties.
A few details:
- 100% full-time position with benefits
- Budgeted salary range of $105,000–$120,000
- Based within the College of ACES and Illinois Extension
- Master’s degree and five years of full-time relevant professional experience required
- Located in Champaign, IL; in-state hybrid work may be available with supervisor authorization and in compliance with Extension and university policies
