With heavy hearts, we regretfully must inform you that this year’s Saint Kinlaw’s Day will be postponed until further notice. 

There are factors that are out of our control, and at this point we do not believe we are able to give the experience we intended for the artists, businesses, and attendees.

We want to sincerely thank everyone that has helped promote the festival or shown interest in participating. When the time is right we will return better than ever❤️

Are you interested in performing in a multi-genre music and arts festival?

On August 29th we will hold Open Auditions at Smartmouth Brewing () in Norfolk 5-9PM.

This is an opportunity for musicians to showcase their talent and prove they deserve a spot at Saint Kinlaws Day!

If you haven’t already submitted music for consideration this can serve as a submission, auditions are also open to artists who’ve already submitted.

Our friends STARTT () and Baby Oil () will be providing the vibes inbetween auditions and Smartmouth has $5.50 beers with a purchase of tacos from Ghost Kitchen ()!

Audition slots are first come first served and space is limited but the form in our bio can be used to sign up.

Can’t make it? You still have until August 30th to submit music via email! Check out our last post for more information.

We will be in Virginia Beach this weekend for breaking the grounds for our own 2023 festival preparations!

Congratulations to all the artists involved - we’re very proud to be see some SKD alumni getting much deserved opportunities to shine on an even bigger stage 🔥

We love and miss you dearly. Thank you for all the inspiration given and great memories made. Your impact cannot be understated and there will never be another quite like you.

Thank you to everyone who celebrated this year’s or any of the previous festivals with us for your support, it means the world!

A map of the festival grounds to help you prepare for Saturday!

We will have event parking available on public lots and on both Cypress Avenue and 18th Street. Please try to refrain from using Wareings Gym parking lot especially earlier in the day!

There will be bathrooms and concessions available on site - you’re also welcome to support any of the surrounding restaurants such as and .

Set up will begin around 1PM and performances begin at 3:30PM, hope to see you there ❤️

My names Aléta (my real name is Day). I am a creative and vocalist based in Richmond and as of this month will be based out of DC!

I've been recording since 2020 and released my first EP "Venus's Fall from Grace" in May of 2021 - collaborating with femme and q***r artists for my project. My whole mission with my music is to bridge gaps and embrace difference. I've experienced the intersectionality of the creative community and have always realized no matter how unique we all are we all connect to music in a similar way - genuine, honest, deep.

Music makes us vulnerable in a safe way and I create with the intention of being the sound and rhythm that enables positive introspection and acceptance of difference.

I make my music from my most genuine space and love to perform and help other people feel validated and seen through my songs.”

“JVN is a emerging artist residing Chesapeake, VA & is definitely one to watch out for. The 21-year-old’s music blends the worlds of Rap & R&B as he uses melodic ways to connect with his lyrics & to pull all audiences into a world full of unique, lit, & heartfelt music that will keep you intrigued & will surely have you in a beautiful daze.

His current project, “From Virginia, With Luv”, has been received well from different states & has been listed in several playlists on streaming services since the release.
