During the Viola Horse and C**t Show parade on Saturday, we recognized John Matthes, who recently retired after 53 years (!!!) of service to the squad. John joined shortly after the squad was formed in 1973 following his return from the Air Force. He served many roles with the squad including President/Service Director (6 years), Vice President/Assistant Service Director (2 years), and Treasurer (2 years).

Thank you for your dedication to your community, John!
