SHOW ANNOUNCEMENTS:

1. Show Set-Up day will be Thursday, February 26th beginning at 6:00 p.m. at the fairgrounds. All exhibitors are encouraged to attend and participate.

2. Market beef must weigh back on Friday, February 27th between 5:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. at the Welch Stockyards.

3. Weigh-in / check-in for all animals other than market beef will occur at the fairgrounds on Friday, February 27th between 5:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Health papers will be checked during weigh-in.

4. The Spring Livestock Show will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 28th.

5. ***After reviewing current OYE rules and prior show practices, The Spring Livestock Show Committee has approved a rule change for the Swine Show. The max weight for hogs to be eligible for the Premium Sale is now 350 lbs, which is consistent with OYE’s max weight for commercial gilts. Any hogs weighing between 291 lbs and 350 lbs will be shown in a separate class.***

6. The beef carcass contest will be held at Cook’s Processing in Miami on March 9th at 9:00 a.m.

7. The Premium Sale will be held on Tuesday, March 24th with dinner beginning at 6:00 p.m. Please be sure to thank RCB, BancFirst, and Welch State Bank for providing the dinner!!!
