Happening THIS FRIDAY & SATURDAY! 🍉

Join us down at Patrick Henry Square for the annual Knox County Watermelon Festival, presented by Sparklight!

Friday night we will have food and craft vendors, a beer garden by The Vincennes Brewing Company, live music by First City Music Festival, a watermelon eating contest sponsored by Culver's and Miracle Clean Auto, and the final chance to hear from the three finalists from the Watermelon Business Challenge. 🍺🍉🎶

Then on Saturday, we've got our 5K Run/Walk presented by Old National Bank, vendors booths, a Kids Fun Zone sponsored by Andrew Hinz State Farm and Family Health Center - Vincennes, Indiana, our Watermelon Festival pageants sponsored by WZDM 92.1FM Vincennes, IN and Illiana Watermelon Association, the Knox County Variety Show sponsored by Blazer 91.1 WVUB and 967theBridge, our watermelon seed spitting contest sponsored by Ceres Solutions Cooperative Inc, and a watermelon toss competition sponsored by YMCA of Vincennes and Bill Bobe's Pizzeria, and our first ever Antique Tractor Show sponsored by Organ Battery & Electric Co, Inc! 🏃👑🍉🚜🎤

T-shirts will be for sale all weekend at the Tri-State Printing & Embroidery LLC booth on site at the festival, as well as free watermelon (for a limited time) on Friday night and all day on Saturday, provided by Southwest Purdue Ag Center and Mouzin Brothers Farms! 👕🍉

The moment you’ve all been waiting for… the official 2022 Watermelon Festival posters and schedule are out NOW! 🍉

Come down to Patrick Henry Drive on Friday’s, August 5th from 5-9 for food & craft vendors, live music, and a beer garden. Head back down on Saturday, August 6th starting at 8am for a 5K Run/Walk, pageants, live entertainment, contests, as well vendor booths, an antique tractor show and a kids fun zone all day long! 🌭🍻🏆🎤🚜🍉

We’ve packed just about anything we can into this day and a half festival for the community, and we can’t wait to see you all there! Did we mention free watermelon all day Saturday? 😉

The countdown is ON, as we are just 1️⃣ month away! We hope to see you there! 🍉

Check out this cool event coming to the 2022 Watermelon Festival!

We are so excited to announce that The Knox County Chamber Of Commerce and The Pantheon have partnered to bring you the Watermelon Business Challenge! 🍉

During this competition, applicants will submit a proposal for a business and/or a product created using fresh watermelon. With the celebration of the Watermelon Festival, we are looking to our community of entrepreneurs to pitch innovative and impactful value-added products that will keep the capital associated with watermelon processing in Knox County. This challenge also offers many resources for entrepreneurs and businesses alike.

Applications are now open and close June 28th! Reference the links below for more details about the contest rules and prize packages.

We are excited to partner with The Pantheon to host this event!
