Vicksburg's Carnaval de Mardi Gras & Gumbo Cook-off Festival features a competitive and fun gumbo cook-off, live music, and kids' games at the Southern Cultural Heritage Center.

Benefitting the Vicksburg Foundation for Historic Preservation It’s the Vicksburg’s Carnaval de Mardi Gras & Gumbo Cook-off. A festival at the Southern Cultural Heritage Center on the corner of Cherry and Crawford Streets. The event includes a Cajun Gumbo Cook-off, block party, indoor live music, dancing, children’s activities and much more! All proceeds benefit the Vicksburg Foundation for Histor

Laissez les bons temps rouler!!! 💜💛💚 We are so excited and getting ready for the 14th Annual Carnaval de Mardi Gras & Gumbo Cook-Off, this Saturday, February 14th!!

WE NEED VOLUNTEERS!!! And what a fun way to give of your time!!!

We will need volunteers throughout the day on Saturday. The following is a schedule of where and what times we need volunteers:

8:00- 9:30am- Set up the street and games for Kid’s Zone (if it rains, we will set up games inside Thursday or Friday)

4:00-7:00pm- Concessions
Kid’s activities
Pull trash
Etc…!!!
7:00-8:00- Clean-up after the event!!
