I’ve said it once, and I’ll say it again.
Versailles is in the middle of a renaissance.
The proof is in the pudding, as they say.
When we first opened, people told us there was nothing to do here. We still hear it today. Naturally, we took that as a challenge.
From day one, The White Rabbit has been an event centered business. We’ve hosted our own farmers markets. We’ve tried the traditional ideas like trivia and Craft Nights. We’ve wandered a little farther down the rabbit hole with Sexy Bingo and a psychic medium.
Some ideas packed the house. Some taught us lessons. Every one of them was an attempt to give people another reason to gather right here in Versailles.
But this renaissance is much bigger than us.
It’s watching Emily’s Brew remodel, grow, and keep investing.
It’s watching Deaglen’s launch something new.
It’s seeing The Tanglewood give families a place to stay while they discover how much has changed here in little Ripley County.
It’s watching Novel Hearts grow from one room into a space that practically begs you to explore.
It’s seeing attendance at Versailles State Park climb 45 percent.
That doesn’t happen by accident.
It happens because small businesses keep betting on this community, and because this community continues supporting them through the good times, the growing pains, and everything in between.
So thank you.
Thank you for showing up. Thank you for sharing our posts. Thank you for bringing your friends, trying something new, and believing there can be more to do here.
Keep believing in Versailles the way I do, because this renaissance is only getting started.
