🧨 We are so excited for our 5th annual
Independence Buckle Bash! This year it's a bit more special however. At the last members meeting, we decided this would be a new tractor benefit! All proceeds will be going to paying off our current tractor, and purchasing a new one for gameshows and jackpots! It has been determined we need something a bit more capable.

IRRC was established in 1973 and is a 501c4 not for profit; all proceeds go to the kids, club maintenance, and awards for the members. When we stepped into IRRC 5 years ago, we were left $7k in debt, without a tractor and drag, and had to reestablish our non-profit status due to the previous board’s lack of book keeping.

We are aware of the benefit barrel race down the road that conflicts with our date and time. Our board chooses our season dates annually every January, so it is not fair to our members and volunteers to reschedule on such short notice. They are the lifeblood of this organization.

Due to the conflicting shows, we decided as a board to do an Ashlee Bird sidepot; where the split will be 60/40. Participants receive 60% and she will receive 40%. I know many of us will not run our horses twice in the heat of the summer, and for those of you who want to support both; this is a lovely option. No one should fight alone.

We also have some exciting news!!! We will share with everyone soon. Feeling very grateful for our community, members, local businesses, and YOU!

🩷 Here are your seasons final points for gameshow! In 5 days these points are final. Per our rules, the only classes to be awarded saddles are classes with 6 competitors in that class that completed the season. If you came in first and do not have enough in your class, please message the page!

Wow. Talk about a nail biter. A HUGE congrats to Taylor McClain for coming in and ripping a 14.2 on the state pattern tonight. She was the last rider and won by .3!!!! Heck of a run girl. So good to have you over here on our coast! Congrats to ALL the winners. We are so grateful for all of you!

We cannot stress enough how important having an amazing support group is to make these shows happen yall. It’s an entire week of prep beforehand, and we couldn’t do it without our amazing community.

Mike Miller, thank you for mowing all day and dragging and flipping the pen two days prior each day. You are a literal godsend every time we ask for help!!!!

Sarah Schlaich with Whispering Pines Equestrian for taking time out of your day today to come up and mow and w**d eat and help Mr. Miller. Your ongoing support does not go unnoticed.

Mr. Hoag for moving some water around for us last night after the meeting. And dragging every gameshow this season: THANK YOU!

Well y’all done did it!!!! Another $250 added by us, and 81 entries. Leave it to barrel racers to go from 44 entries to 80 in 8 hours. Gosh we love ya!!
