The Petersen Classic

The Petersen Classic The Petersen Classic is one of bowlingโ€™s grand events. Founded in 1921 by Louis P. Petersen, the tournament now enters its 115th edition in 2025.

Ed Gardula of Mt Prospect, IL brings the final squad to the Pete this year. This is his first squad and first time bowling. A few of our employees bowl in his league and they encouraged him to see if they can get more bowlers to join them. Another big day at the Pete, Steven Brinkman of Sussex, WI put together a fantastic series bowling 5 games over 200, with a high game of 244. Steven took the lead in the Pete with 4 squads to go, with a pin count of 1681. He bested Jonathon Schalowโ€™snscore of 1670 that was bowled last Monday. Great bowling today Steven!!!

Steven led the Jerry Marrs squad, but Jerry brought in a strong squad with two past winners Liz Johnson and Kevin McCune. The remaining top 5 bowlers on the squad were Jerry Marrs, 1566, Liz Johnson, 1552, Angelique Delasandro, 1552 and Rick Hara with 1539. As a squad they also took the lead with an impressive pin count of 45,242. A great night of bowling by all!!
