Update 9/17/20—Whew! Anyone else already exhausted from this CRAZY year, yet?! Hoping everyone is finding a routine for your kids’ learning and your working!
I was thinking before that we’d have 2 opportunities to get together. People could come to the one that works best for their schedule or come to both!
I was holding off on selecting the dates to see how gatherings were going to go.
One reunion will be at a restaurant suggested by Jeff (I believe.) I’ll contact them about using their event section, but possibly if they had access to an outdoor area that would be better for not breathing indoor air. I have ideas for a few decorations.
The second I was thinking would be fun to have at a lake side (suggestions welcome as to best one) where we could open the site up to those who could load up their grills for grilling meats and veggies that everyone would bring, enough for your own families. I could bring a couple games; BYOBeverage, and camping chairs. And even a fire pit to make s’mores! Can’t go to the park for a grill-out if we don’t have s’mores!
We had 81 graduates. I know some have moved away and can’t make it. Hopefully everyone who comes will upload their videos to this page for everyone to enjoy!
Now, if ANYONE possibly has our videotape with all our photos of us growing up that Rachel, Karen, myself, and a couple others put together, I’d LOVE to have it sent in to be put on CD to hand out to each family! In the same line, if anyone has graduation video? I know most of us didn’t have the means for our families to record graduation.
If anyone DOES have any of those VHS’s, I’d be more than happy to pay for the transfer to CD or even made into a digital file we could all access on our devices.
Along the same lines, it would be quite a project, but a very wonderful one, if we all wrote up a little summary of the past 20 years with 5 photos per family that we could make into a video to songs from the 90’s!
If by a miracle we could put the reunion updates with pics on the same digital file/CD as our Senior video, MAN! THAT WOULD BE SO FANTASTIC!!
We weren’t a class that cared too much about fancy things, or had hardly any money to do fancy things, but we were a class of wonderful diversity of personalities, world views, and dreams. We were also a class with great heart to work hard and achieve our dreams. We were mostly underrated by the adults at the time. But look at who we’ve become! I’d like to memorialize our success over the last 20 years.
I’ll post another update when dates are arranged, and y’all get a chance to contact me about having the Senior video and/or graduation video or photos that I could have transferred to digital file/CD’s.
And once I find (suggestions very welcomed) as to the best method of making a new 20 year memorial of our lives to share with everyone, I’ll post here where to send your photos and written statements (and even a short video if you want!) to get those arranged and shareable.
Please, please give me all of your ideas and even concerns to help make this reunion precisely what we would enjoy 😁.
Final note; my highest priority is people feeling safe, and then making it as economically inexpensive as possible. We weren’t into fancy things much anyway, lol.
Stay safe! Love y’all! Teri
