The 2026 Ventura Art and Craft Festival Call for Artists!!

🎨 Leave Your Mark at the Ventura Art & Chalk Festival!
The Rotary Club of Ventura cordially invites you to showcase your talent at the annual Ventura Art and Chalk Festival. Join us for a weekend of color, community, and creativity at the beautiful Ventura Harbor Village. This is an invitational show for art, crafts, and chalk art - entries will be juried and approved by a panel of Rotarians.

Whether you specialize in vibrant street murals or handcrafted gallery pieces, this is your opportunity to share your vision with thousands of art lovers while supporting local charities.

The 2025 Ventura Art and Chalk Festival is a wrap!
Wonderful chalk art, superb art and craft vendors, and a whole lot of visitors all had a fantastic time! Many thanks to everyone who helped make this a success: The Ventura Harbor, The Rotary Club of Ventura, our art sponsors, high school and athlete volunteers, and all the artists and craftspeople!

Ventura Art and Chalk Festival!
September 13-14, 2025
Ventura Harbor Village

Ventura‘s one and only Art & Chalk Festival is back better than ever. Ventura Harbor Village will be transformed into a magical work of art during the free family-friendly festival, September 13 and 14th from 10 AM to 5 PM, hosted by the Rotary Club of Ventura.
This year’s festival will showcase more than 50 talented chalk artists and artisans and present a memorial tribute to co-founder Randy Hinton. Sadly, Randy Hinton passed away after a courageous battle with cancer. His dedication to the festival and to Ventura County’s charities was truly remarkable.
Inspired by Randy and Barbara Hinton’s legacy and to ensure that the festival continues, the Rotary Club of Ventura has stepped forward to run this amazing event.
Expert Chalk artists from California and beyond will spend two days creating colorful awe-inspiring chalk murals as spectators watch the images come to life on the seaside promenade. Spectators are encouraged to relax and enjoy musical entertainment on the lawn.
Among the amazing artists featured this year is Greg Wray. Wray has drawn for SEGA, The Walt Disney Company, and Warner Bros. Wray created the US video game cover for the Sonic the Hedgehog series' debut game and the cover illustrations for some of the early Sonic the Hedgehog books. Wray will be creating a Sonic the Hedgehog beach scene with a crew of volunteer artists!
Strolling through the Harbor, spectators will discover and can purchase original artwork: paintings, ceramics, photography, glasswork, handmade wooden toys and wearable fashions.
Children are encouraged to express their inner Picasso after being inspired by on-site artists. There will be a marked area for children to create their own colorful chalk art!
The Ventura Art and Chalk Festival will raise funds for the Rotary Club of Ventura which donates and contributes to local Ventura County charities.
