Northwest Book Fair

Northwest Book Fair Join us Saturday, June 27, 2026 at Clark College - free to attend! Hi, I’m Patty Grasher. The first event was so much fun and was well attended. So . . . ta dah!

🌟 An annual event β€’ In partnership with KXRW 99.9 FM and the Northwest Book Fair & Media Fest β€” celebrating books, media, and community across the Pacific Northwest. As an author since 2003, I know how challenging, rewarding, and even fun it can be to market your books. What started as a very small beginning with 23 authors in 2023 has now expanded to over 70 authors for 2026. The second event had

major problems with weather. The one and only day in August that predicted high winds and rain. It was so on again, off again that I decided future events needed to be indoors. The third event was held at the Fort Vancouver Artillery Barracks. I teamed up with KXRW.FM in Vancouver to bring about our most successful event ever. That was such an awesome place, date, time, and was visited by at a minimum of 1500 people. The only hiccup was that it was too small for future growth. I tend to be one of those people that likes things to grow. Now in 2026 we will be at Clark Community College. I hope you will come and join in the fun. Because it is very fun.

Help spread the word. πŸ˜€

We have 30 printed posters (11x17) and 100 flyers (8.5x11) that we need help posting in the local area.

Any and all help is appreciated! I will keep a running list of places covered on the website - and just for fun adding the name of those who do the foot work!

If you download and print on your own printer to share in different places let me know as well.

Do you think local newspapers are still important to communities?

πŸ“° What’s happening to local news?

Join Will Campbell, Editor and Co-owner of The Columbian, for a fascinating behind-the-scenes conversation about how local journalism is adapting in the age of AI, political division, and changing media habits.

As one of the few remaining family-owned newspapers still operating its own printing press, The Columbian offers a rare look into the future of community journalism.

Another great book on its way! Meet Paula at the fair and plan now to register for the Romance author panel to ask her fun questions!

Woot woot! Yesterday afternoon I finally finished the first draft of the next Hometown Hardware mystery.

This has been a long slog with all kinds of life getting in the way of writing, so I'm delighted to reach the end. It still needs a ton of work, but I love the editing phase. That's when I get to dig in, give the story life, and make sure everything works and the mystery comes together.

This one takes place during a cold and snowy February. The whole town has cabin fever, so nearly everyone turns out for the annual Winter Carnival and Spaghetti Feed at the high school. The carnival this year has a 50s theme, and Dawna is excited to just be out and about, having a good time with friends. Until...
