Van Wert County Fair/Agricultural Society Educating, enhancing, and preserving our agricultural roots through our youth and our community. Mark your calendars for the 2027 Van Wert County Fair!

August 31 - September 6, 2027! The mission of the Van Wert County Agricultural Society is to educate, enhance, and preserve our agricultural roots through our youth and community. The Van Wert County Agricultural Society is the governing entity over the Van Wert County Fair and Fairgrounds. The fairgrounds hosts over 16 events on the grounds throughout the year and also offers building rentals for special events like bridal showers, baby showers, graduation parties, proms, and wedding receptions. We are continually grateful for the support provided by The Van Wert County Foundation. The Foundation is invested in improving the quality of life for Van Wert County as a whole and has donated to the Van Wert County Agricultural Society in specific ways, which allows us to bring you a better fair experience year after year. Funding for this program was provided by the John D. and Nellie S. Ault Memorial Fund through the Van Wert County Foundation. The John D. Ault Memorial Fund is an endowment fund created to support charitable needs of our community. More information can be found at www.vanwertcountyfoundation.org

Cold weather? That's what hoodies, coffee, and fall festivals are for! ☕🍂

Harvest Happenings, along with the Apple Festival and the Dairy Barn Emporium kicked off today, and the cooler temperatures make it the perfect day to enjoy a little fall shopping and fun! Grab your favorite jacket, bundle up, and come join us for a day filled with vendors, food, and community!

This event only comes around once a year, so don't miss it! The event runs until 8PM tonight and tomorrow will be going on from 9AM - 4PM! We can't wait to see you at the fairgrounds this weekend!

There are currently five open seats on the Board of Directors of the Van Wert County Agricultural Society. These seats consist of Hoaglin Township, Liberty Township, Washington Township, the Central Region and the Northern Region of Van Wert County, Ohio.

Per Article IV of the Van Wert County Agricultural Societies Constitution, these seats are now to be filled by appointment of the Van Wert County Agricultural Society Board of Directors. Any current member of the Van Wert County Agricultural Society may apply for the open seat. While being a resident of the open townships and/or region would not be a requirement, residency in those areas would be given preference.

Anyone who is interested in fulfilling an open seat on the Board of Directors is asked to contact the Fair Office to confirm their qualifications for appointment on or before October 20th, 2026. The names of those interested will be reviewed by the Board of Directors and a decision on the appointment will be announced at the Annual Meeting on November 14, 2026.
