City of Valley Christmas Merry Go Round Even though it might not feel like Christmas outside, it will be here before we know it. Christmas traditions abound throughout the City of Valley!

And that means that the Christmas Merry-Go-Round will be back for its 60th year. Sixty years is a long time to keep a tradition going, but that’s how long the Christmas Merry-Go-Round has been bringing joy to riders, both children and young-at-heart adults. In 2012, the Christmas Merry-Go-Round celebrated its 2,500,000 rider! In 2007, the City of Valley took on the responsibility for bringing the

Merry-Go-Round to the Greater Valley area. City of Valley employees operate the Merry-Go-Round and the City has taken on the obligation of leasing it but we have not been able to do this alone. Through the years, we have had the generous support of local and non-local groups, individuals, and businesses. Together we have been able to continue this wonderful Christmas tradition. If you would like to make a tax deductible contribution to the 2016 Christmas Merry-Go-Round, you can make your checks payable to the City of Valley. Please note "Merry-Go-Round Fund" on your check. Mail your checks to City of Valley, Attn: Merry-Go-Round, P.O. Box 186, Valley, Alabama 36854. Your donation will be greatly appreciated.
