La Salle County Burgoo Festival The LaSalle County Burgoo Festival is an annual festival that occurs during Columbus Day weekend in Utica, IL.

It is a fundraiser for the LaSalle County Historical Society! Burgoo stew is cooked during Saturday night, and served on Sundays only. More than 50,000 people are expected to visit the north central Illinois village of Utica on the 2nd weekend of October - Columbus Day weekend, to attend one of the state’s longest running festivals.

Did you know that the Burgoo Festival is hosted by the LCHS, and acts as our main fundraiser? You can visit our Museum Campus in Utica, Il for FREE! We are open Friday through Sunday, from 12 to 4pm, or by appointment!

Well, that’s a wrap! We want to say thank you to everyone who attended the 55th annual LCHS Burgoo, and especially want to say thank you to our amazing Burgoo Crew!!
Without you, we truly cannot do this 🧡 your support is everything to us- Burgoo truly takes a village!
That’s why we also want to say thank you to our friends from the Village of North Utica who step up every year to help us host Burgoo. From road closures to garbage cans, marking vendor spots to helping us get the word out, they truly give us the support we need for this event!!
And we can’t forget the folks who help us to keep Burgoo as safe as it is fun! The Utica Fire Protection District and Utica Police Department show up for us each and every year, alongside the LaSalle County Emergency Management Agency AND Bureau County EMA to help ensure this festival is a safe success! They did a fabulous job keeping traffic moving throughout the weekend! 🚗
And of course we have to say thank you to our long list of fabulous sponsors who helped us be able to host our 55th Burgoo!
