A few of our board members joined forces with the community to unlock imagination, decorating guitars, exploring colors, and making music with inflatable instruments, empowering the next generation of creative thinkers! Nickelodeon’s Annual Worldwide Day of Play is almost here! Join us on Saturday, September 28 from 11am-2pm at the future home of our new museum in South Utica. At this FREE event, we will have fun activities with lots of friends – Griffiss Institute, UMN 4 the Arts (Utica Monday Nite) Elevate CNY, our Mobile Museum and grab some food with the awesome SNUG Utica team.

And… he’s BACK! Two drawing classes by Joe Mandia – local animator and owner of Stronghold Animation – will take place in ICAN’s Community Room.

We've got a GREAT indoor location with our friends at Delta Hotels by Marriott Utica where everyone will be more cozy AND get to enjoy an intimate performance by Angie K. We're so excited for her to perform tonight and hope to see you there!

Week 7 presents headliner Larry & Joe! Currently based in the Triangle of North Carolina, both men are versatile multi-instrumentalists and singer-songwriters on a mission to show that music has no borders. As a duo they perform a fusion of Venezuelan and Appalachian folk music on harp, banjo, cuatro, fiddle, maracas, guitar, upright bass, and whatever else they decide to throw in the van.

Can you believe we're already more than halfway through the season?!

We're stoked to announce that Week 6 headliner is Joe Samba! Joe taps into rock ‘n’ roll spirit and reggae soul all at once. The Massachusetts-born singer, songwriter, and guitarist sonically teeters on an axis of island-inflected grooves and gritty guitar-craft balanced by his dynamic vocals.
