Breaking: The DOJ's Title II WCAG 2.1 AA compliance deadline has been officially delayed by one year. As of yesterday's Federal Register, the new deadline for large public entities is April 26, 2027 (smaller entities: April 26, 2028).

What this doesn't mean: permission to stop. The underlying ADA obligation remains, private lawsuits continue, and institutions with HHS-funded programs still face a May 2026 deadline.

The extra year is a runway — use it. Train your staff, appoint an ADA coordinator, and audit your digital tools.

After decades as the Austin Auto Show and our recent rebranding as Austin Auto Festival, we announce that there are no shows or festivals scheduled in the foreseeable future due to the Austin Convention Center's multi-year closure and remodeling through early 2029, and the lack of suitable alternative space for our event.

We appreciate the support of all attendees, exhibitors, sponsors, and partners throughout our long history in the Austin automotive community.

This account will remain as an archive but will not be actively maintained.
