Oh yeah. Here you go. One of the rarest combat helmets out there. The WW2 Japanese Shinyo (Sea Quake) Su***de Boat Helmet. Undoubtedly, this is one of the rarest steel helmets from any modern period, a true relic of intense and deadly innovation. The Japanese developed daring defense and attack strategies that centered on sacrifice and even self-destruction for their missions. While everyone knows about the kamikaze aircraft pilots who wreaked havoc and spread terror among the Allied navies, a far less recognized tactic was also meticulously developed and executed. Starting at the end of 1943, units were formed, and sleek, fast motor boats were designed to be launched directly into Allied shipping—piloted by a single courageous man willing to risk everything. Considerable effort was poured into protecting these brave boat pilots, whose mission was to reach their target at all costs—leading to the production of body armor and these heavy, formidable helmets. The Navy bore the primary burden of these vessels, though the Army also operated some. These boats were stationed on various islands and Japanese-held territories, with the largest numbers kept in reserve to defend the homeland. When the Allies finally accepted Japan’s surrender, many of these boats were discovered—and it is during this time that a small, precious number of these helmets were brought home, mostly into the hands of US servicemen. This is an incredibly sought-after piece—a genuine WW2 German Iron Cross 2nd Class that truly stands out. The ring bears the mark "122," a rare identifier linking it to the prestigious maker Jean Jacques Stahl & Co.KG, Strassburg. Such a mark is seldom found, making this an exceptional find!

J.J. Stahl was based in Alsace (Straßburg), a region fiercely contested during the war—once a French province, now annexed by Germany. This historical context elevates the significance of Stahl’s production, as it makes this Cross one of only two non-German manufacturers authorized to create the Iron Cross. That rarity, coupled with its authenticity, ignites a sense of pride and history in every collector.

The "122" stamping, typically inscribed on the small suspension ring at the top, confirms its unique origin. While countless Iron Crosses were forged during the war, those stamped “122” are exceedingly rare—highly coveted by enthusiasts and collectors alike. They evoke a profound connection to history and stand out as true treasures in any collection.

The WW2 German Luftwaffe Air Gunner Cloth Badge (Fliegerschützenabzeichen) was more than just a piece of fabric—it was a symbol of bravery, skill, and dedication. Worn proudly on the lower left breast of the flight blouse (Fliegerbluse), this badge represented the hard-earned proficiency of those who piloted the treacherous skies. Authorized in late 1937 for all ranks, these cloth badges became a beloved mark among combat crews. They offered more than recognition—they provided comfort and familiarity amidst the chaos, far superior to the cold, cramped, metal insignia that clung uncomfortably within the freezing confines of bombers and transports. Despite the official end of cloth badge production on May 8, 1942, in a desperate bid to conserve precious materials, countless brave men continued to wear their badges with unwavering pride throughout the war, a testament to their courage and relentless spirit.
