This morning could have gone a lot differently! Taking an extra second to look at my foot placement before leaning over to operate the RGN and safety lock very well could have saved one or both of my feet. A crimp fitting failure on the lift circuit blew out a split second after I released the lift lock. I've always told my team hydraulics fail instantly and catastrophically there's no warning. I saw this first hand at close range today. Wrecking a pair of shoes is a cheap reminder of how badly this could have gone today, And before we jump on the preventative maintenance bandwagon this trailer is less than a year old. TAKE THE EXTRA SECONDS FOR SAFETEY. Situational awareness, body position and recognizing points of failure can very easily save you from severe injury or loss of life! Let this be a mid season reminder for you and your crews today! Be safe to make it home everyone!
