In 2019 we had a very special visitor from the National Corvette Museum; the Astrovette. More that just a beautiful shape, the Chevrolet Astrovette was part of an aerodynamic study to enhance the aerodynamics of the Corvette. Introduced in 1968, it featured an extended nose, roadster windshield, closed rear wheel openings and an extended, tapered tail. Seldom seen outside the Museum we were thrilled to have it on the parade grounds at Tyler Perry Studios. ,

I was very fortunate to have recently visited in upstate New York, two very significant, historical sites; one is the birthplace of American sports car racing, Watkins Glen - It was awesome to drive the public streets that made up the course in 1948. And one of the last places that run the Supermodifies- Oswego Speedway, another branch of our American family of Motorsports where they still run the 800HP fire breathing Supermodifies. (Plus upstate NY rivals North Georgia for fall color)

Coming up at the end of October and a sign that "car season" is just about over, please consider joining us at Chateau Elan Winery & Resort for the 5th Annual Military Support Foundation car show. It's a great venue, lotsa beautiful people (and cars), good wine and a good time. This a great organization that supports our military families.

Every year on my birthday I post a picture of a race car whose number is the same as my "years old". (well the #74 is kinda obscure) however I did find this LMP3 car sponsored by the 74 Ranch in Texas. I'd like to believe I look as good with my 74 as this racer does. Cheers to everyone, I'm looking forward to the next one! .....and thanks to all for the warm wishes!
