HeArt for Glass Studio I have been quietly melting and shaping glass for years. I am a consciously incompetent artist.

I love glass, I love my studio and love to share the joy if glass with anyone who is interested!!

First we designed it, then we melt it flat and pray it doesn't crack then we decide what to do from here.. Will it be functional art? Wall art? Bowl? Base? Frame? We will see

There is more to creating then just creating… there is a lot that needs to happen BEFORE you can make the first piece of glass art. Messy, but satisfying.

made another one, and I’m super excited about how it turned out! ❤️

This piece is made from recycled COE 96 and Blenko glass, and it’s even bigger than the last one. The colors came together beautifully.

Now for the next step—slumping it into a bowl. That’s when I’ll find out if it becomes what I envisioned or decides to have a mind of its own. 😜

So far, I’m really happy with it!

Love this but it is not going to work!! Darn it. 🥲 …..So it will hang in my garden for awhile!! This was my third attempt at a float glass shattered circle. I have such a grand idea for it. I can't wait to share it. This is something I have wanted to do for years and thought would be easy. Joke is on me. The glass keeps cracking. I will try again. 😔

I WAS excited about this project. But it cracked! Working with recycled materials is part adventure, part science experiment, and part leap of faith.
