Handcrafted by Heathens LLC

After a lot of thought (and a lot of heart), we’re making a change.

The Handcrafted by Heathens / Seidr’s Sigil websites are officially closing, and we will not be traveling to festivals or shows this year.

This isn’t a goodbye…it’s a pause.

I’m taking at least a year to rest, reset, and reevaluate what the road ahead looks like. The last several years of traveling, creating, and building this space alongside all of you have meant more than I can ever properly put into words. For now, I’m stepping back to listen, reflect, and see where the next chapter wants to go.

✨ Social media will remain active.
✨ The Shield Maiden/Bog Witch is still creating.

If you’re looking for handfasting cords, witch hats, wreaths, or something crafted the old way, with intention and human hands, you can still reach out for custom orders.

And who knows… maybe this becomes a rebrand. Maybe we find our way back to the road. Maybe something entirely new is waiting.

Stay following along. The story isn’t over yet 🪄it’s just changing shape.

Thank you for walking this path with me. 🖤

For those who have reached out and specifically asked about items made by our head heathen, this is the inventory I have left. Please dm me if you would like to purchase (as supplies last).

For the last two years, some people decided our brand of chaos, craft, and questionable humor deserved an award. We were honored then, and we’re still honored now.

What made it matter most, though, was our Head Heathen.

Every year we placed, our late owner was so incredibly proud. It wasn’t about trophies or titles, it was about being seen, being supported, and knowing the community believed in what we built together.

So let’s do this one more time.
For him.

Let’s help Handcrafted by Heathens and Seidr’s Sigil place together for the last time and give him one of his best wishes yet.

🕯️ One Last Gathering 🕯️

Handcrafted by Heathens will be at the Acadiana Renaissance Festival for our final scheduled festival for about a year.

📅 January 10 – February 8
📍 629 Mount Carmel Rd., Ville Platte, LA 70586

We’re holding a Heathen’s Fire Sale 🔥 with deep discounts as we clear remaining inventory. This is your last chance for a while to bring home our handcrafted wares.

After this season, the Swamp Witch is stepping away for a year following the passing of our Head Heathen. This show is both a farewell and a thank you—to our community, our faire family, and everyone who has supported us along the way.

Come see us, share a moment, and help us send this chapter off properly. 🖤

Our Head Heathen, Brent, passed away last night surrounded by family.

In February, Under the Black Pirate Troupe asked me to attend one of their shows at the Acadiana Renaissance Faire and record this song dedicated to Brent because he was doing a show in Florida and couldn’t be with us. I played this video for him in the hospital yesterday before he passed.

Sailors and soldiers have a saying — when they pass on, they go to Fiddler’s Green, a peaceful place of music, laughter, and rest after a life of hard journeys. That’s where I like to imagine Brent now — at peace, surrounded by love. 💛

💔 Update on Brent 💔

With heavy hearts, we wanted to share that we’ve made the decision to move Brent’s care to palliative. The swelling in his brain has continued to worsen, and he is now unresponsive. At this point, there are no further medical options available, and our focus is on keeping him comfortable and honoring his wishes with love and peace.

Please keep Brent and our family in your thoughts as we walk beside him through this next phase. He has fought with incredible strength and courage — a true warrior whose spirit will surely find rest in Valhalla. ⚔️

If you’d like to support Brent’s journey or help the family during this difficult time, you can visit our GoFundMe here:

Thank you all for the love, kindness, and strength you’ve shared with us. 💛
