Release Kevin Harden! Follow the information from Last Prisoner Project to learn more and support his compassionate release after ten years behind bars

Kevin Harden is serving a 30-year federal sentence for a nonviolent ma*****na offense, while cannabis is now legal and generating billions in revenue across much of the country.

After more than a decade behind bars, Kevin is also facing serious, life-threatening health complications. His family is asking for compassion, clemency, and the opportunity for him to come home.

Every signature helps show that people believe Kevin deserves a second chance.

Just a friendly reminder, we try to make sure Hempfest (including its social medias!) is a Hate-Free Zone!
We love our community, and part of that is doing what we can to keep it safe and welcoming for anyone, regardless of their background, prior knowledge, and lived experiences. How else are we supposed to have fun and be able to learn together!?
Help us fill the piggie bank so we can continue moving forward on our comeback mission! Become a member for as low as $1/month because we get it, the economy is trash right now, and be a part of the change you wish to see in the world at https://www.hempfest.org/get-involved/membership/

Hope we see you THIS Sunday(the 9th) to mingle with the team about what’s next, and what else to look forward to soon!

We’ll have more information afterwards about what we’ve got in the works for our social media feed and larger community next week!

Check out https://www.hempfest.org/get-involved/membership to register for a ‘pay what you can’ membership to help us come back bigger and brighter!

Okay, so what’s the big news?!
We’re bringing our membership program back to life!
Here’s where to do it: https://www.hempfest.org/get-involved/membership/

This is the first step as we work our way back to in-person events, and helps keep the Hempfest legacy alive.

Starting on August 9th we’ll have monthly Hempfest World online members meetups, where you can run digital elbows with some of the movers and shakers behind the scenes as we continue to share education about the most misunderstood plant on earth.

The best part?
We wanted to keep things accessible so we made it a pay what you can membership. We can’t do it without our community, and with enough of us coming together to chip in we can make bigger decisions like when we can (FINALLY) have an event in the park again.
This is just the start though, we have more we’re working on behind the scenes so make sure you’re paying attention and catch what’s coming!

Time to keep on flippin' through the Hempfest history books!

It was crazy times in 1993, and brought around 5,000 people! Featuring a "Bong-A-Thon", and an even stickier and more beautiful example of nature's magical foliage. As the event got better, so did the music. 'The early Hempfests featured Seattle bands such as Stickerbush, G***a Farmers, Dandylion Soup and Bam Bam.

By the the hard drivin, hard-rockin' reggae act, the Herbivores, established themselves as Seattle Hempfest's House Band. Hempfest was growing at the same rate as the increasing public awareness of the half-truths, lies, and misinformation generated by the war on pot for over 60 years, and it became apparent that we would have to find a larger site because Volunteer Park had already been maxed out.
