Our hearts are still so FULL from the 50th Common Ground Country Fair! None of this is possible without the dedicated support of many volunteers, thank you!!! 🌱🍎

The Fair would also like to express our gratitude to our over 90 donors of certified Organic producers donating food that kept our volunteers fed and fueled throughout the Fair weekend. We served more than 5,400 meals to over 3,700 volunteers. 🍽️

✨Deepest of appreciation also to our Kitchen Coordinators who work hard bring all the Common Kitchen magic to life!✨

We couldn’t be happier with how the 50th Annual Common Ground Country Fair turned out! Thank you to the thousands of volunteers, vendors, and fairgoers who made the Fair such a wild success.

From the first school groups entering the Fair on Friday, to the Oshima Brothers closing out this historic milestone event on Sunday, the Fair was a time for us to come together in community, enjoy organic food, live music, educational events, demonstrations, and find common ground.

While staff and Planning Team members will be cleaning up and debriefing this year’s Fair, it won’t be long before we dig in and start planning for the 2027 Fair. If you enjoyed this year’s Fair and can’t wait for next year’s, or you missed it this year and want to make sure that doesn’t happen again next year, mark your calendars for the 51st Annual Common Ground Country Fair, September 24, 25, and 26!

‘Tis the night before the 50th annual Common Ground Country Fair (September 25, 26 and 27 in Unity, ME) and all through the fairgrounds, exhibitors and volunteers are settling down. The livestock are nestled all snug in their stalls and prized fruits, vegetables, and artwork wait in the Exhibition Hall. The schedule is packed full of workshops, talks, entertainment and more. Come to experience delicious organic food and drinks, and peruse Maine-made crafts and products at the Country Store!

We are so excited to welcome you back to the fairgrounds tomorrow for this milestone year!

Shoutout to our incredible Planning Team! 🍽️✨

The Fair wouldn’t be possible without the 300, or so, dedicated volunteers who pour their hearts, time, and energy into this event all year long.

Tonight, we’re carrying on a treasured tradition: sharing a meal together before the Fairgrounds come alive with vendors, volunteers, and Fairgoers. It’s our moment to slow down, connect, celebrate all the hard work already done, and share in the excitement for the memories about to be made! ❤️

Beep, Beep! Be prepared for traffic (September 25, 26, and 27)!

Traffic can be heavy each morning and midday, particularly in good weather. To try to avoid long traffic lines consider the following:

Arrive when the gates open at 9 a.m., or after 2 p.m.
Come on Sunday. Sunday typically is the least busiest day.
Carpool and make the most of your time in the car. This year, Kennebec Valley Community College (KVCC) in Fairfield is a carpool location. Meet your friends in the parking lot and hop in together to make the wait more fun!
Take the Train! Courtesy of the Belfast and Moosehead Lake Railroad, the train runs regularly from Thorndike and Unity to the Common Ground Country Fair.
Bike to the Fair and get a cheerful welcome and first-class bike valet parking.

Sometimes traffic is unavoidable, be prepared. Use the restroom right before you leave or make a pit stop when you’re getting close. Have water and snacks available. Prepare a playlist or have your favorite podcast ready to go.

If you have an accessibility hang tag, please have it clearly visible to help the Waldo County deputies directing traffic. We have accessibility parking serving both gates. We do have shuttles for fairgoers to help with the distance.

🎉 We’ve had an incredible response to volunteering for this year’s Common Ground Country Fair—thank you to the thousands of you helping us celebrate 50 years of Common Ground! From parking cars and chopping veggies to supporting the 5K race and helping out in the Children’s Area, our volunteers make the Fair possible. ❤️

Reduce waste by bringing your water bottle and eating utensils to the Fair this year, September 25, 26, and 27, 2026!

To reduce waste, the Fair does not sell any bottled or canned beverages. There are several drinking water stations throughout the Fairgrounds for fairgoers to fill up their own water bottles.

Another great way to reduce waste is to bring your own eating utensils! Although food vendors do have compostable, PFAS-free utensils available if needed, bringing your own utensils will cut down on waste and help out Compost and Recycling volunteers tremendously!

Make sure you come prepared and check out the fairgrounds map to view the water station locations, as well as other key locations like the bathrooms, handwashing stations, information booths, EMS and more! Link in profile.
