Hey friends, we’ve got something special happening just down the road! 🕯️

As the Muddy Dog closed its doors, our hearts and attention now turn to another treasure: Appanoose County’s very first church.

We’ve started the renovation process and already uncovered some incredible pieces of history (including a 1914 Sunday School Journal tucked away in the attic!).

We’d love for our Muddy Dog family to be part of this journey. Follow our new page, This Old Church, to see updates as we renovate and prepare the building to be used again by the community.

Let’s preserve the stories, celebrate the past, and watch something beautiful rise again right here in our community. ❤️

Whew!! A wonderful final night at the Muddy Dog! So busy we didn't have time to take more pics. We'll keep our page going as we transition to an event center this fall. Thanks to all of our regulars for your encouragement and support.

Friday Farewell – 5 pm to 8 pm (August 15)

Order until the food and liquor are gone. Burgers and pizza off the menu or an all you can eat buffet for just $16 per person. Where else can you get an appetizer, a meal, and dessert for $16? Exactly.

Buffet Menu:
Appetizers: fried mushrooms, fried zucchini, corn nuggets, fried pickles, wings
Sandwich station: ham, salami, corned beef, mortadella, capicola, variety of cheeses
Nacho bar: build it your way
Breakfast items: sausage patties, links, potatoes, biscuits & sausage gravy, pancakes
Sides: country potatoes, mashed potatoes, fettuccini, pasta with meat sauce, fish patties
Desserts: cinnamon rolls, cookies
