Tonight The Bixler 108 Listening Room in Unionville, Mo proudly presents Nashville's own Mark Stuart. Mark is an outstanding performer and gifted song writer. He brings stories to life with every note he plays and every word he sings. From swampy blues, classic country, beatles-esque melodies, razor sharp finger-picking, to searing slide guitar his music is a reflection of his life chasing and creating great songs. He has shared stages and played with many of the music world's legends, but his guitar, lyrics and voice leave their own mark.

Show time is 7:00 pm. Admission is free. The Bixler operates off of your generous donations.

Bring friends, family and neighbors. This will be a great night of live music at The Bixler-- the best little Listening Room in Missouri.

Two nights of live music at The Bixler 108 Listening Room this week.
Tomorrow, Thursday May 21 its open mic night starting with a pot luck meal starting at 5:30 followed by local musicians who love to play and sing, especially when they have an audience.

Then Friday the Bixler welcomes back Nashville singer songwriter Mark Stuart. Mark grew up in the Nashville music scene and in addition to being a very gifted musician and songwriter, he is walking encyclopedia when it comes to Nashville and country music. Mark knows all of Nashville's legends and has performed with most of them.

His brings stories to life with every note he plays. From swampy blues to classic country to Beatles-esque melodies, from razor sharp finger picking to searing slide guitar, Mark's music is authentic, unfiltered and road worn--all a reflection of a life spent chasing songs.

Music is not the only thing that happens at The Bixler. The Putnam County Arts Alliance and Dora Olson of That Paint and Pottery Place in Blakesburg, Iowa have teamed up for another fun filled evening of painting. This one is definitely a beautiful piece featuring these gorgeous tulips for spring! This is for artists of all skill levels and there is plenty of guidance and help if you need it. Dora is an art teacher by training and with her guidance, you will impress yourself with the result

The class starts at 5:30 pm on Tuesday May 19th. No experience needed! Just bring your friends and your creative energy, and get ready for an evening full of fun and creativity!

The music at The Bixler 108 Listening Room is always superb and Friday night with Grainne Hunt and her duo partner, Jules Stewart, was no exception. And there is more to come.

Thursday night, May 15 is open mic night. Come out to enjoy some terrific music by many of our local musicians. There will be a potluck meal available starting at 5:30. Music starts at 7.

Friday, May 22, Nashville's own Mark Stuart returns to the Bixler for the 3rd time in as many years. Mark's shows, which will include some country and some rock, flavored with plenty of blues and folk and stories. You won't want to miss Mark Stuart.
