Today is Cow Appreciation Day! 🐮 We celebrated a day early yesterday by treating 32 of our girls to a pedicure! We trim hooves three to four times a year to ensure our ladies' feet stay in the best condition possible. Each cow is different as some get done every time our hoof trimmer is here and some just once or twice a year.
🐮🐮Now, we want you to show or tell us how or why you appreciate cows!🐮🐮

It's Day 14 of June Dairy Month and while the herd is about 80% Swiss, we've had 4 Holstein calves in a row and another Holstein heifer due any day! Apparently they all like to get bred at the same time. The red cow is Cutie Pie, an Absolute daughter, with an Atwood heifer calf and the black cow is Rumble, an Atwood daughter, with a heifer calf by Warrior-Red. We're excited that these two had heifers for us! 🐮🥛

Day 12 of June Dairy Month already 🐮🥛 and Paisley approves of my breakfast this morning! After having a nice cold glass of whole milk before heading to the barn, I grabbed a yogurt on the way out. Packed with protein, it'll provide energy for the busy morning ahead. There are so many convenient dairy products anymore, there really aren't any excuses to not get your three(or more 😋) servings in everyday 💪. We missed a couple days, but today is day 6 of June Dairy Month and for the photo today, we chose one of our favorite photos from World Dairy Expo back in 2016. Hearing the news that World Dairy Expo was cancelled for this year was not completely unexpected, but did not come to us lightly either. Taking the annual trip to World Dairy Expo is more than just a show to us. It's a chance to see friends we only see once a year, it's a chance to see some results of all of our hard work from the year(s) past, and it's a chance to get away from reality for ten days and enjoy the company of great cows and better people. Enjoy that extra serving of dairy today and thanks to The Bullvine for this awesome picture! 🥛🐮✨ We are staying hopeful for the fall though, because as many other have said, we need a show!

🥛Day 3 of June Dairy Month and what better way to celebrate than with the arrival of this sweet calf yesterday! This is Cinnabon's fourth calf and her fourth heifer! 🐮☺️

✨Now the fun part! We need your help naming this sweet girl! Her name needs to start with a "C" and the family is food themed. Her sire is Gold Chip. Family members include Cookie, Cupcake, Cutie Pie, Cheesecake, and Cheerios!✨

Day 2 of June Dairy Month🍦and we wanted to share this picture of some of our girls enjoying their afternoon out on pasture yesterday. Subliminal, Ripple, Chloe, Thunder Clap, Classy, and Poofy along with their herdmates took advantage of the low 70s temps and didn't want to come back in for milking.🐮🥛 We love being able to send the girls out on pasture where they can exercise and get some fresh grass to eat! Remember to consume some extra dairy today 🧀🐮😋.

From fluid milk to cheese, yogurt, and butter, dairy is all around. 🧀🍦We're grateful to spend everyday with our girls and provide a wholesome product to help feed the world. 🌎

✨Continuing with our classification highlights, we present: North Lanes WF Subliminal VG89/90MS MAX. She's been fresh for a year and due back this summer. Subliminal is a Winning Formula out of North Lanes Press Snow Globe EX90 then North Lanes L Snowbaby EX91! Both Snow Globe and Snowbaby were successful in the show ring for multiple years. While we unfortunately lost Snow Globe last fall, we still have Snowbaby and look forward to more descendents joining the herd in the years to come. She will show as a Sr 3 this year. ✨
