UVCC staff proudly presented Mendocino Fire Safe Council with $2500 in proceeds from our annual Mendocino Co. Homebrew Festival to support their endeavors in informing, empowering, and mobilizing residents to survive and thrive in a wildfire-prone environment. Through education, preparation, and collaborative action, MCFSC helps residents reduce wildfire risks and protect their lives and property.

🍻 Our 2025 Homebrew Lineup Is Here! 🍎

Get ready to taste the creativity! Brewer contestants have been busy crafting an incredible selection of beers, ciders, and meads. From classic IPAs to adventurous sour blends, there's something for every palate.

🍺 The Beers
Mendocino Wet Hop: A super-fresh IPA exploding with flavor from locally grown Cascade Hops.

Sunshine at Midnight: Hazy NEIPA.

Sequoia IPA: A bold, classic IPA.

Stout: Rich and satisfying.

Chocolate Polenta Porter: A deeply flavored porter with a unique, creamy texture.

Orange Cream or Oktoberfest: We will have to wait for final decision.

Pink Flamingo: A vibrant, kettle-soured Berliner Weiss with exotic dragon fruit and tart cranberries.

Shirts vs Skins 2025: A crisp, Dry Sour Blonde Ale lightly aged on Cabernet Sauvignon Skins (5.5% ABV).

🍯 The Meads
Verjuvious: A light, Off Dry Hydromel Mead (5% ABV) featuring the perfect balance of sour cherry plums and wildflower honey.

Mud Bug: A robust, Semi-Sweet Mead (9.5% ABV) with deep notes of Coffee and Chicory.

🍏 Ciders Creations
Field Study 2024: (Cider) Spontaneously fermented to capture the landscape—a blend of greening and Graverstein apples. Dark fruit, caramel, and buzzing tannins for a clean, dry finish.

County Pumpkin: (Cider) Wild apples and forage plums, finished in a freshly emptied rum barrel. Lush plum fruit and a quiet, warming complexity.

Jam Session: (Cider) A field blend of orchard apples and wild blackberries, dry-finished with gentle tannin. Vivid berries over mellow apples.

Hard Cider: Our essential Apple/Crab Apple Blend.

Apple Blend with Vanilla Bean: Aged for a smooth, aromatic finish.

Granny Smith Varietal: A bright, classic, and tart single-varietal Hard Cider.
