Meet Helen Elbert Collaborative Music and Fine Arts Festival returning Composer Maria Genusa. Maria Genusa is a young piano teacher, composer, and performer currently studying Piano Pedagogy at the University of Texas at Tyler. She has three albums on Spotify, YouTube, iTunes, and many other streaming platforms. She has been featured on composer Matthew Mayer’s website solopiano.com as well as his Spotify playlists. “Love Is a Patient Flower” is about giving to people kindness and love consistently, even when we feel those people are undeserving. She will perform her composition 'Love is a Patient Flower' for a dance collaboration featuring students from Rose City Arts Academy, under the direction of Kimberly Paige Lee and Nicholas Sheffield.

We are excited to have some of these wonderful people from UT Tyler Music Department Lambda Pi Chapter of the Southwest District of Kappa Kappa Psi managing our stage for the 2026 Helen Elbert Collaborative Music and Fine Arts Festival this Saturday April 11th!

We are excited to announce the UT Tyler's Lambda Pi Chapter of the SouthWest District of Kappa Kappa Psi has been reinstalled! Thank you to our alumni and current students for being part of the installation and chapter. 👏
