September started with a bang, thank you Boise Art in the Park. Then there was Candy Dance in Genoa Nevada. Words can't begin to describe how greatful we are for all our customers. Thank you for showing up and thank you for your continued orders. It was such a joy to see you all. September was fun but now we are jumping feet first into October. Saturday and Sunday we are blessed to be at Victory Gardens in Meridian Idaho. There are so many talented people here its worth the trip if your in the Boise area. Next week we are off the Twin Falls Idaho for Vintage Vixens Market. We are excited to see you all and share all the new stuff we have been mixing up.
Our last October outing will be Makers Market at Franz Witte Nursery in Nampa Id. Its such a beautiful place and the people are amazing. We wish you all the best and hope your fall harvesting is filled with abundance and love! 💜💜💜💜

One of today's projects was bottling and labeling 15 gallons of linen water. Linen water is used for a variety of purposes. It can be used to refresh sheets or linens to aid in sleep before bed and spray drapes or furniture down before company visits. 😴

It can also be used to repel mosquitos, flees, lice, moths and ticks. I recently discovered the science behind how it repels mosquitos. Lavender’s mosquito-repelling properties come from its essential oils, especially linalool and linalyl acetate, which interfere with mosquitoes’ sense of smell, making it harder for them to locate humans by detecting carbon dioxide and lactic acid emissions. 🦟

The lavender essential oil in our linen spray is naturally antibacterial, antiseptic, antifungal and anti-inflammatory. That means it can take the pain away from a minor burn or cut, aid in healing, reduce inflammation and keep the area from becoming infected. We do a lot of outside shows and markets in the summer, so I am not immune to getting too much sun at times. I love being able to spray myself down to cool and calm the skin that has been affected by a minor sunburn.🌞

Alot of people ask us about this product. I love it when we are at shows and our customers come into the booth with a bucket or 2 in hand. I always say, "When you know you know"! This product is all natural and used to remove odors from your clothes. Lavender essential oil is naturally antibacterial and antifungal so using this in addition with your normal laundry soap will help eliminate the reason why your clothes, towels, or sheets are smelling kind of funky.
But wait there is more! Not only is this product great from clothes but you can also use it as a carpet or rug deodorizer. Sprinkle on carpets or rugs and either let it sit or vacuum it up. If you have a pet accident on the carpet or rug, just sprinkle this over it, place a damp paper towel on it and let dry. It will absorb the urine and leave the area smelling fresh.
I have also used it as a natural disinfectant spray for my counter tops, tables, doors and walls. I simply use 1/4c of booster in a spray bottle and water.

Yesterday we were super busy making our Lotion #12; to be exact it was 15 gallons of it! We think it might get us through the September shows. ;) The lotion #12 is a magnesium lotion with our lavender essential oil. On a personal note, I have used this lotion and have experienced the difference it can make. I broke my right fibula this last March and had surgery to repair the damaged ligaments and tendons. They wanted to prescribe Gabapentin for the nerve pain I would most likely experience, but I respectfully declined. I knew that this lotion was going to do the trick for me and it did. Through the leg cramps and muscle spasms and other unfortunate side effects of the healing process I can definitely tell when I have forgotten to use it.

Here are a couple of things about using magnesium glycinate topically:

Applying magnesium glycinate topically allows it to bypass the digestive system, which is particularly beneficial for individuals with gastrointestinal issues or those who experience discomfort from oral magnesium supplements.
