Today, we pause to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and honor the courage of the first responders, service members, and everyday people who stepped forward in the face of tragedy.

Twenty-five years later, we remember the lives, the stories, and the strength shown by communities across our nation.

May we continue to carry their memory with us and never forget.

Happy Labor Day from all of us at the Dinah Washington Cultural Arts Center!

Today we're celebrating every kind of work that builds a community, the hands that paint, sculpt, and create, right alongside the hands that keep Tuscaloosa running. To our local artists and makers, and to the city workers, educators, and everyday laborers who show up for this community day after day, thank you. Art doesn't happen without work, and neither does a city we love.

We're closed today so we can rest up too, but we'll be back at it tomorrow, doors open and ready to create with you!
