Our next workshop is Sunday, July 20th! Join us as we create beautiful botanical bookmarks, perfect for your summer reading! Suitable for beginners and embroiderers with experience. For this workshop you can bring ribbon, thread and needles of your choice, but some will be provided. We will also provide suggested patterns, like the daisies above, but you are welcome to do whatever you’d like! In this workshop we will review the basics of embroidery, what supplies to purchase and local and online places to find them, and how to decide on or change patterns to suit your goals. We hope you can join us!

Also feel free to join us for social hour before the workshop, from 1:00-2:00!

We hope you’ll join us today for an ✨egg-cellent✨ tatting workshop! 🥚🐇

Ideal for those with existing tatting knowledge.

What to bring:
-your standard tatting kit
-one shuttle, medium size
-sm. sharp scissors
-quilter’s clip, x2-3 (or similar item, for holding your beads on the thread)
-large eye beading needle (optional, but this one works best with the perle cotton)
-steel crochet hook, size 11 (about 1.0 mm), for joining
-beading trays, at least 3 (or any sm. shallow containers such as box or jar lids, preferably white)
-small tray (or shallow box lid, paper plate, or similar item, about 8” sq or 8” x 10”, to corral your beads & supplies)
-needle book or needle holder
-standard beading needle (for use with the nylon beading thread)

We are providing plastic eggs, and thread and beads in limited quantities.

Optional supplies to bring:
-your own thread and beads if you have specific colors that you want to use. Size 8 perle cotton thread, size 11 glass seed beads, and size 3 bugle beads.
-You could bring your own egg to cover, but it must be the same size as the plastic eggs or the tatting will not fit.

We hope to see you tomorrow for our cable knitting workshop!

You will need to bring some supplies with you:
- Yarn of your choice (we recommend something with some elasticity to it- no cotton!)
- needles of the appropriate size for your yarn
- a cable needle of any style
- a couple of stitch markers

This is a beginner+ level, so you should already know how to cast on, bind off, and do the knit and purl stitches. Please practice those skills at home ahead of time if you need a refresher.

We will start social hour at 1pm, and begin the workshop at 2pm!

We will be in the auditorium of the Tuscaloosa County Extension Office, we recommend parking in the lot off of 8th!
