With working night shift the past few days, we finally got to deliver the food and money that was donated to the Seven Loaves Soup Kitchen in Tunkhannock tonight from our Trunks of Treats Spooktacular.
We have been doing this small food drive every year during this event but tonight was the first time we've actually been the ones taking it to them.
Let me tell you....
That was a very humbling and emotional experience!! We got there at 4:30, a half hour before they open for supper. The parking lot was already full and people standing in line waiting to get a warm meal. Mostly older people and disabled people. This is something you see in movies or on television but when we actually saw it in our own hometown, it hits you differently.
This donation was all because of the wonderful people that came out to our event and brought food or gave money. We here at NEPA Cars and Coffee thank you all for your generosity and willingness to help out other people. You all are wonderful and amazing people!!
They were very thankful to receive this years donation and said it will definitely be a help.
So thank you all again and know that you all do make a difference!!

Today we headed out to Double D's Restaurant outside of Tunkhannock to host our 9th Annual Trunks of Treats Spooktacular.
This is always our last event of the year and it's definitely one of our favorite events to hold.
We had a decent crowd of participants that came out and decorated their trunks and handed out goodies to the kids.
The wonderful ladies from the Diner proved everyone with free hot dogs, hot chocolate and coffee to enjoy and keep them warm.
We awarded 11 awards again this year and we congratulate everyone whom took home an award.
We also collected a nice amount of food and cash that is going to be delivered to the Seven Loaves Soup Kitchen in Tunkhannock.
Again, thank you to everyone who came out and helped make this event the wonderful success it was tonight!!
Thank you to the amazing ladies of Double D's Restaurant for allowing us to hold this event at their establishment and providing us all with warm goodies!!
